Rapid Scout® was founded by Managing Director, Stephen Bell, after developing a passion for innovative technology, across a variety of industries over 25 years. This passion culminated in the development of Rapid Scout®, completely autonomous, communication, surveillance and AI smart data collection devices, both vehicle mounted and in standalone rapid deploy kit form.
First the Rapid Scout® HQ was created for use wherever a traditional CCTV command centre was unfeasible or cost prohibitive. This can be a temporary implementation such as for major events, outdoor concerts and festivals, or in response to civil unrest or protests in urban areas. Mobile command vehicles have been in use for some time with emergency services, however these tend to focus on administrative capability for management in the field. As such they are generally larger in size (bus, caravan or truck) and do not primarily support the deployment of mobile CCTV that is independent of fixed power and data infrastructure.
Rapid Scout® then focused on expanding the Rapid Scout® HQ vehicles capability with both short and long range surveillance options, by creating a suite of autonomous Rapid Scout® surveillance kits, specifically for remote surveillance operations via an encrypted mesh wireless link, streaming live footage to the Rapid Scout® HQ vehicle or client required location over a private, secure network. These surveillance kits evolved into the current models, Rapid Scout® SK, MK and WRK that are on offer today. Rapid Scout®SK, MK and WRK can be adapted to any environment and can be stand alone as a remote monitoring sensor to create a live notification alert for any in field intelligence and smart data collection.
